In June 2012, the Oak Ridge Town Council voted to annex the northern portion of the Cascades Preserve, a 130 acre nature preserve, as part of an agreement between the town and Guilford County. The southern part of the preserve was already within the town limits. This agreement was made to add to the recreational “opportunities” in Oak Ridge. I read that as a Geocaching opportunity.
The caches you are seeking vary in difficulty, terrain and size and they have been placed so you can experience this hidden jewel of Guilford County. The guardian has taken up residency here. This cache is located in an obvious location but it will take some effort to retrieve. The most obvious way may not be the easiest way. This one will be looking back at you... assuming the previous cacher replaced it like they found it.
