The cache is a historical marker for the emigrant trail the Carson rive route

This is the route taken by many of the pioneers on their way to California. The road out to this Virtual-Cache is paved 99% of the way. It's just a small marker on the Old California Emigrant Trail the Carson River Route. Just across the road is the Soda Lake Geothermal Plant #2
