Flecktarn is a 3, 4, 5 or 6-color disruptive camouflage pattern developed by the German military, the most common being the five-color pattern, consisting of dark green, light green, black, red brown and green brown or tan. The use of spots creates a "dithering" effect, which eliminates hard boundaries between the different colors. The pattern is designed for use in temperate woodland terrain.
The cache is not far from a trail that goes from the top to the bottom of the river bluff. This trail is not maintained and is steep and slippery, especially when wet - watch your step. Coordinates averaged from several readings - container is camouflaged. Please rehide as found or better. This cache is registered with the St. Paul Parks and Recreation Department.
NOTE: The south entrance to Hidden Falls Park is closed in Winter.
