A five to ten minute hike up to the top of Cnoc (Hill) Slapin. Varying degrees of steepness over odd patches of rough terrain.
After parking your car at the cattle grid by the Blue Shed Café, cross the road and take the track with the footpath sign to Strollamus. Follow the white track a little way and on the left you will see a grass covered ancient wall which heads up the hill. Follow the ruined wall and head up to the top of Cnoc Slapin, soak in the view of the Red Cullins and the Blaven Range topped off by finding the hidden cache while you’re there.
Please note: When you are up at the top of the hill be aware that 100yds down the other side you come to the top of the quarry and the fence has broken down. There is also some steep drops not that far away from cache site so advisable not to let small children roam alone.
