Geocache Description:

A little cache just north of historic town of Douglas in Douglas County, Wa

A long time ago there was a rail road nearby. The construction (1909) of the 60 mile track took only nine months. The rail was operation for 76 years. This was one of the last RR to use box cars. The reason being was that the rails could not support the weight of the hopper cars. In early years the town of Douglas was the county seat of Douglas county. However the town was dry, wells were not producing water. 40 acres was deeded about 5 miles from town where a well produced a barrel of water. That water was brought to a meeting and it was decided to move the county seat to that 40 acres, now called Waterville.
