Have replaced this after previous cache kept getting muggled. About 15 Metres from original. Have put in a small camo pill container to see if it stays put this time, will keep an eye on this and replace with better container in the future. Sydenham Botanic Park Frank Sydenham ran flourishing floriculture business, including some export trade, and was a pioneer in cut foliage.
In 1971 Frank, who was a bachelor, began the process of gifting his property to Massey University for educational purposes and establishing a scholarship for post-graduate students in agriculture, horticulture or forestry who had done their secondary schooling in the Bay of Plenty region. Bay of Plenty Polytechnic horticultural students later trained here and when the facility was no longer required, it fell to Tauranga City Council to develop a botanical park, as per the Trust Deed, “for the enjoyment and benefit of the citizens of Tauranga”. Please take your time to read more on the signs located around this developing park. Just a run of the mill black/camo click clack type container. Please cover with some natural cover when replacing. Parking near the school or over the road at the Brookfield shops.
