Geocache Description:

This is a stop on the outskirts of the Shaw Hill Marsh. The Shaw Hill Marsh is a 900 acres of marsh and prairieland.  It is designated by the DNR as public hunting ground.  Wildlife Biologist Paul Samerdyke has directed the completion of Geocache Placement Notification form and it is done and on file with the Horicon Marsh office of DNR which is responsible for Shaw Hill Marsh.

This is a cool little spot to come to. Down a long road you might see beautiful farmland, wooded areas, wildflowers and if you are lucky some wildlife consisting of birds, small mammals and deer at times. Bring the kiddos to find this ammo box. Remember that in the summer the Wisconsin State Bird the mosquito is prevalant in this area. Also in the height of the summer brush and under growth is thick. This area is purposely left very natural. It is a part of it's beauty but can pose some challenges if not prepared.
