Geocache Description:

Jin Bao Shan (金寶山 Golden Treasure Mountain) is a combination cemetery and art park that will probably change your conventional impression of cemeteries being solemn, slightly frightening places.

Jin Bao Shan is famous for its abundant art. The grounds and interiors feature original works by a number of artists. The sculptures are modern in style and often symbolist in character. Many works are not overtly religious; of those that are, Buddhist and Taoist images are most numerous, including more than a thousand Buddha statues in the “Thousand-Buddha Cave." However, all major religions find representation at the site and one main building gives a prominent place to Christianity.

The most frequently visited gravesite belongs to Taiwanese singer Teresa Teng (鄧麗君), whose silky voice, ingenue beauty, and early death are reminiscent of the late Karen Carpenter.

The final cache is NOT located at the coordinates in the description. Those coordinates are for the parking area/bus stop where you will begin your search.

The final coordinates (GZ) are :

N25° 14.XXX → XXX = 1,953 - [(42xA)+(42xB)+(42xC)+(42xD)+23]

E121° 36.YYY → YYY = 25xE

Stage 1: Start at the bus stop/parking lot and walk past the cactus garden to Teresa Teng's grave. Go ahead, step on the piano and play a song!

Near the grave is a fountain area with stone statues of people (see Stage 1 photo). How many human figures are in this fountain? Number of human figures = A

Stage 2: Continue walking up the main road until you see a lovely tree on your right side (see Stage 2-A photo). Near this tree is a grave with some white columns (see Stage 2-B photo). How many columns are there? Number of columns = B

Stage 3: Across from the tree is a public bathroom in a round pagoda-shaped building. Next to the bathroom are some graves. Look for the grave with this photo of a man and a woman (see Stage 3 photo). How many Christian crosses are on the wall of this grave? Number of crosses = C

Stage 4: Continue up the main road. On your left, just before the Administration Building, you'll see a wall with a circular opening (see Stage 4 photo). Go inside and walk around. Among the stone carvings you'll find one showing a person cleaning Buddha's ear. How many people (not including Buddha) are on this carving? Number of people = D

Stage 5: Continue along the main road. To the right of the Administration Building is another area with stone carvings (see Stage 5 photo). Walk up and among the statues until you find some elephants. How many elephant carvings are there? Number of elephants = E

Note for stage 5: Some narrow stair climbing is required here. The elephant carvings are all larger than a basketball and are all located within a few meters of each other. Be sure to climb up and look up and all around. Stay within the carvings area; you don't need to go into tomb areas nor on any roads.

Now plug the variables A,B,C,D,and E into the above equations to find the final coordinates.
