May be reached by traveling on established trails up to the last 100 feet or so.

Cos-scut-e-nong-sebee was the name given to the Huron River by the Wyandot Indians. French explorers came to this area in 1680 and renamed it Huron River after seeing the Wyandot Indians with their bristly hair. The explorers were reminded of the stiff hairs seen on the wild boar or hure found in France.

To find this cache you will be traveling over ground once occupied by these Wyandot Indians.

The cache is in a clear plastic container with a dark cover. It at one time the cache held a one time use camera for groups to take their pictures at the cache. These pictures were posted on this page.

Please squeeze the air out of the ziploc bags before closing them completely.

Please replace the cache the way you found it. REMEMBER, WE MUST HIDE THE CACHE IN SUCH A WAY THAT A NON-GEOCACHER WILL NOT DISCOVER IT!

This cache is located within Lower Huron Metropark, a part of the Huron-Clinton Metropolitan Authority park system. A Metropark Vehicle Entry Permit is required: Annual Permit $40. Senior(62+) Permit $29. Daily Permit $10.
