Geocache Description:

The Long Beach Peninsula is famous for fishing -- salmon, tuna, halibut and more! While it's fun, it can also be frustrating and expensive -- a boat, tackle, license, gas, and beer can really add up. Here's your chance to hook a nice trophy without setting foot anywhere near the water. At the posted coordinates, you'll find a barrel just on the other side of the fence, and a TOTT "fishing pole" tucked against the outside of the fence for you to use.


Simply get the fishing line over the top of the fence and into the barrel. With a little luck, you'll hook onto the cache so you can retrieve it and sign the logbook.

This is cache and release, of course, so be sure to put the fish back for the next cachers to find. There's a hole in the fence for that purpose. Do NOT throw the fish back over the fence because it may not make it back into the barrel and be out of reach for future cachers to grab.
