Geocache Description:

Carlingford is a village that i have been endlessly fascinated with since visiting it on a college trip in October 2001. Formerly part of the now defunct Rambler Adventure Trail series, I've kept this 1 as this forest will always be a special place for me.

Cache is a plastic box located on the edge of the Foy Forest at the entrance/exit of a beautiful avenue that splits through the walls of trees that rise tall on both sides. At the far end, there's an old quarry which we visited to do abseiling as part of a 3-day activity excursion in 2001. Nowadays, it is used for lazer combat - the biggest lazer combat zone in Ireland apparently!

The cache's name was inspired by an ancient Hebrew saying in relation to living out their faith by doing good works. Our lifetimes are only a small blip on the scale of eternity, but while we're here, we have a duty and responsibility to care for the world that we find ourselves in. The ancient Jews believed that when we do good works, 'the very trees of paradise are planted'.... We live between the trees. And our time is now.
