Geocache Description:

Builded In 1985, for the 40th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War in Kiev, a monument to soldiers, motorists and road builders.

This monument was the first of its kind. Prior to that, on pedestals adorned exclusively military equipment: tanks or armored cars. But this time as a monument established Soviet truck.

Old ZIS-5, which is now better known as a ZIL-5, found in the late 1970s in a shoe factory. He playfully traveled on domestic roads, delivering the necessary cargo to its destination. Whether the vehicle was involved in the fighting, could not figure out, but it was made just at the beginning of 1941. After the restoration of three-ton vehicle under its own power drove up on a pedestal. Rumor has it that even now it is possible to get, and it will go.
