U okviru naše serije cacheva o arhitekturi i arhitektima, odlučili smo predstaviti i neke od ostvarenja iz recentne hrvatske arhitektonske produkcije.
Ovaj cache posvećen je „Kući Gumno“ arhitekta Idisa Turata, izgrađenoj u mjestu Risika na otoku Krku. Kuća je nazvana Gumno, jer je arhitekt odlučio zadržati i obnoviti staro gumno, koje se je nalazilo na početku parcele, kao simbol mjesta na kojem se ljudi skupljaju, a samu kuću pomaknuti u stražnji dio parcele. .

This cache has brought you to the beautiful villa in village Risika on island Krk, designed by Croatian architect Idis Turato. Name of the house is „Gumno house“.
„Gumno“ in Croatian means „threshing floor”. Reason that the house was named by the threshing floor is that at the beginning of the project architect has spotted dozen of abandoned threshing floors in the Risika village..
In the old days threshing floors were not only the places for separating out grain by the feet of people or oxen, but also the points where people could meet and get together. So architect decided to keep it as a symbol of the meeting point of people and place the house in the back of the plot area. .
