Close to the Gamsberg there is a mistery with a TB hotel now, waiting for guests.

Having visited Namibia several times I started Geocaching in 2014.
So when I planned my 2015 trip to Hakos Guest Farm for astronomy, I asked Waltraud and Friedhelm if they would like to host a Geocache. They accepted and so I prepared a container, large enough for trackables, but not too easy to log.
I decided to create a logbook container that needs some brainwork to reach the paper roll. The GC itself is an easy find, you can just go to the reception of the Hakos Farm and ask for it. But to open the lock you need six numbers. That is why it is a mistery, not just a traditional one.
Of course you should consider "regular" working hours for Namibian people, so during daytime it is fine, knocking at the door at 3am will not be appreciated too much....
Here is the text which should enable you to open it:
"If you come to this area of the country, you can detect one of the nicest and strangest mountains. Most people come to Namibia to see the big five, other people come to Namibia to either watch stars from below or even the top of the third-largest mountain of Namibia. Due to the very good observing conditions in this dry and mostly cloudless part of the world, some telescopes are set up on top of the Gamsberg. Even if you stay on the Hakos Farm and just look to the Gamsberg, you can have a look at the six most beautiful objects in the sky with the telescopes that are available to the guests: the globular cluster Omega Centauri, the Small and the Large Magellanic Cloud, the Eta Carinae Nebula, the Tarantula Nebula and the big Orion Nebula. (of course this is my subjective list of favorites.) Coming back to the Gamsberg, actually there are two Gamsbergs, the small and the large. Standing on the top of the larger, you can really have breathtaking views in all four directions. Enjoy!"
Once you are there you can also get some food or drinks, or, if you decide to stay for the night in a new moon phase, you can also get a guided tour to the heavens. Take some time, it is worth to enjoy this feature of Namibia as well.
