This is the 9th and most northerly panel of the Clyde Sea Lochs Trail series. It is located in front of the new Three Villages Community Hall. If you're coming from Gareloch and/or Whistlefield, or even after driving around the Rosneath Peninsula, you will discover that this part of the A814 is quite challenging to drive along. At the same time it is a favorite with bikers because of that challenge. If you're on your pedal-bike, please be aware that this road is very narrow and can be dangerous.
At the same time, it is one of our favourite routes because of its beautiful scenery along Loch Long. To get an even better view, why not turn off at Glen Douglas?
If you have time and have packed your hiking boots, you could hike the path high above the A814. The views are breathtaking.... (GC5MMCC)
When you arrive in Arrochar, take time to read the panel, there is a lot of interesting information regarding the surrounding mountains, the wildlife and the history of this area.
