Geocache Description:

The start of the Beehive Beck Trio. Here the beck crosses under the main road for the first time. Roadside parking for one vehicle.

This is the junction of Beehive Lane and the A684 Sedbergh Road.

To the north of the main road, Beehive Beck arrives from it's source near the Fisher Tarn Reservoir to pass under the road through a tunnel, which tends to block and flood the road in severe wet weather.

The beck continues downhill across a pasture where cows may drink, and disappears into a small area of woodland. Here, it is dammed into what was once a trout farm pond, before continuing it's journey.

The pillared gateway with it's Lodge leads to Hill Top House, now renamed Holme Park. This was the home of Kendal's famous Strickland family back in 1840.

Find the microcache before strolling on down Beehive Lane to find numbers two and three.
