Geocache Description:

Take the Herman Gulch Trail up about 3/4 mile.  This is a high altitude, uphill hike. I did not think to check the exact altitude, but it is about 11,000 feet.  Your climb will be about 800-1000 feet. The cache itself is about 175 feet north of the trail.  It should not be a difficult bushwhack.  There is lots of open area.  Enjoy the walk, the wildflowers, and be sure to look for bluebirds!

If you are hiking all the way to Herman Lake, this will be a nice diversion along the way.  If you decide not to go all the way to the lake, you have an intermediate place to hike to where you can enjoy the scenery.  The cache is a comoflaged nut jar with room for trading.  I placed a travel bug in there to encourage you to find it.  It should be an easy find.  The walk is hard enough!  We saw bluebirds on the way down from Lake Herman and thought that would be a good name for the cache.
