Equipment in industrial areas, with lots of moving parts/ electricity/ or anything with the potential to harm someone needs to be isolated when being worked on. When there is more than one point that needs to be isolated, or a number of people need to LOCK onto the isolation point, a device called a Lock box is used. Each point of energy that is isolated has it own unique lock and key. When each point is LOCKED OUT, the keys to the locks are put into the lock box, then each person that needs to work on the piece of equipment puts their own lock onto the lock box. These keys are unique to each lock as well. The Keys to the isolation pints cannot be removed from the box until everyone with a lock on removes their own lock, ensuring that nobody is left working on the equipment when it is re-energised. The cache is located out of the way so you should have some privacy. a non 4x4 car could get there, but if you are not keen to try its a very short walk from the road.
