A great spot for a drive, a stop, a picnic, a view, and the remoteness affords the location to study naval fluff and ponder the complexities of the universe.
Take the time to enjoy the drive out here. Bring your picnic and camera.
The Umberumberka Reservoir is an engineering marvel which resulted in a water source 70-80 feet deep that holds up to two billion litres of water!
It was in January of 1911 that the Umberumberka project began, eventually bringing the reservoir online to supply water to the Silver City in 1915.
The labour intensive project saw up to 500 men working on the reservoir at any one time and, because of that, a small settlement sprung up near the base of the dam that survived for decades after the completion of the reservoir.
The cache is right next to the carpark, so please re-hide well from muggles.
