When I visit a new city, I immediately notice large sections of town without caches. Typically those sections of town are best avoided anyway. However, I found that one of Winston-Salem's nicest areas is noticeably lacking in geocaches.
This wasn't quite my childhood neighborhood, but we spent plenty of time biking around this area growing up. Buena Vista is a beautiful part of Winston Salem's historic past. Pack your bike or just go for a walk - there's plenty of shade and great architecture to check out.
