Old Arenal Lakeside Park. Traditional Cache

This cache is in the same park as the "Lost Town" cache.  At this writing, Old Town cache is missing.  This new cache is not a replacement, but a new cache at the park.  Stop and rest here and dip you feet into the beautiful Lake Arenal.  

When approaching Nueve Arenal from Fortuna, there is a big hill that goes up into Town.  At the base of this hill, go left onto a dirt road, then immediately left again into the park gates.  The gates are locked after 5pm.   Watch for muggled as this park is popular with locals on weekends. Go into the park and park your car near the community building.  Walk in another 4-5 minutes toward the grassy peninsula.  Find Ground Zero near the top of a hill with great views.  Take a deep breathe and admire the view.  Stand right on GZ, facing the lake.  Now turn 180 degrees and find the BIG tree.  At its base you will be rewarded.  This is a rich cache.  If you take a trinket, please leave a trinket of same or more value.  Don't forget to lock the box securely to keep out moisture and zip the log back in its ziplock bag.  Future catchers will thank you.  FTF gets a snazzy "I Love Animals" keychain.  Thank you for visiting this gorgeous park.   I will be maintaining this cache on my planned visits to CR before I relocate to Lake Arenal in 2016.
