We have been out to this area several times and always enjoy the beautiful scenery and chance wildlife sightings year round. There are no other geocaches accessible from the dayuse or campground area. Very beautiful hike.
Due to the devastation of the “Beast” wildfire of 2016, the Gregoire Gazebo itself burnt down. The cache container itself has now been replaced. Follow the path from the remains of the gazebo and you will find the proxy cache.
Park in either the day use or boat launch parking lots. Follow the signs to the trails to the gazebo. It is a 2 1/2 to 4 km one way hike. The trails are well groomed and accessible year round. During the winter, they are groomed for cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Lots to see along the way, thanks to AlbertaParks interpretive signs. This camo cache has a log book, pencils and trade items.
