archer48: The entire area has been torn up for a new dock on the canal. I am unable to get to the cache area but observations from the road show that the cache has been destroyed
Hopefully the cache can be replaced next summer

Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden beside the Welland Canal just north of lock 3 and is family friendly

A nice walk along the St. Catharines section of the Greater Niagara Circle Route. Walk, jog, ride your bike, bring your dog and enjoy the paved trail.Plenty of free parking at the Lock 3 viewing complex and a short walk north to the cache.

Be sure to visit the Lacross Museum and the canal observation platform. Bring a picnic lunch and make it a family outing
