Geocache Description:

You will be  are looking for a monument and a cache located some distance from the shore line of Walker Lake.

The issue of declining lake levels at Walker Lake began well over one hundred years ago, when the waters from the East and West Walker rivers were extremely over allocated to up stream users . A volunteer body of local citizens known as rhe Walker Lake Working Group and the Walker Lake Crusaders have been  striving  for years to save our beautiful lake.and they are responsible for the creation of the this beautiful monument. Locating this Geocache will provide you with more information about the battle for the lakes survival. Please keep your vehicle on the concrete ramp because of the loose sand and be respectful for the area. The cache cointainer is small and room for a  log and a few small items only. First to find gets the Sacajaweau coin.
