Geocache Description:

Designed to bring people into the large trail system of Lackies Bush

Walking through these woods I felt this would be a good place to hang out if I was a bear.

Lots of berries around and brush of mixed ages.  Huge trees, and thick undergrowth in certain areas.  Also some nice open areas.  Food everywhere, and nice spots to set up a wintering black bear den.

You don't have to worry about seeing any here though, it's simply the type of area they would enjoy.

Although there are a number of places you can access these trails I'd recommend the trail head directly across from the Allandale Rec Centre at the corner of Bayview and Little Avenue.  When you approach the cache area you can enter from the open area, or if it's poison ivy season you can also get to the cache from the trail in the woods.

Have fun, and if you have time go exploring in the area.  There are a lot of trails you can choose from.  If you have a dog it's a great area for a walk.
