This cache has been archived.

OReviewer: As there's been no cache to find for a long time, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

I frequented this spot quite often when I was younger, now I bring my son and stepson here when we go on walks behind our neighborhood. The terain is very flat and easy to navigate for children. Just watch out for pricker bushes and poison ivy. The trails are getting quite narrow from lack of foot traffic. All of the town kids used to use these trails to walk to and from school.

This cache is placed just off of the trail in a little clearing by a fallen tree. It contains a log book and some fun little surprises for the younger cachers. On the other side of the clearing there is a small swampy pond filled with frogs and snails that is not visible from the cache location, but it's just around the corner down the trail a bit. laugh

This cache is good for finding with your kids! My son's picked out everything in the swag bag. They said they would love it if the people that found it took lots pictures! yes

It's really pretty back here and a nice quick trail walk. It will take you from Maple Way to Yorke Village or the condos. There used to be a park back here but several wasps frequently made their home in the tire swings and tire walls and it was eventually torn down (early 2000's). There is an old fire truck path that connects Yorke Village to the condo's but it is closed to through traffic and not used anymore.  It's a great little trail to explore. You can make it to the end and back in 30 minutes (probably less).

Have fun!!
