A love lock or love padlock is a padlock which couples lock to a bridge, fence, gate, or public fixture to symbolise their love. The couples' names or initials are inscribed on the padlock, and its key is thrown away to symbolise unbreakable love.
The starting location for this cache brings you to Wellington's fledgling love lock bridge.
Not quite as impressive as some in Europe, such as the Pont des Arts in Paris below - which had padlocks removed to preserve the natural heritage of the bridge
Or these custom built iron trees in Moscow
Still, there is plenty of time for Wellington Love Lock Bridge to accumulate more locks...
To find the cache, you need to find some information from what has been inscribed on the padlocks attached to the bridge. Don't worry, plenty of people stop and look at what is inscribed on the padlocks, they are just not looking for a cache.
