Welcome to Inveravon. From the cache you will be able to see the old schoolhouse. If you continue down the road you will come to the chuch and pictish stones. The pictish stones date from the 6th-8th centuries.
There has been a school in Inveravon since the 1600s. The first school building is believed to have been located near to the current church and was made of mud and straw. In 1818 for the parish decided to build both a new school and accommodation for the " Dominie," as the other building was beyond repair. It was to be built "To the north of the turnpike road, a little west from the road leading to the church." This arrangement continued until a separate school was built around 1850 and the old school building was adapted to become the school house for the dominie. Cache container has room for small swappables/trackables. There is a log book but please bring your own pen/pencil.
There is a tracklable inside for the first to find - looking forward to tracking where it goes to!
