Geocache Description:

This cache is placed on Forth Mountain , my childhood playground , the area covers the ancient  baronys of Forth , Bargy and  Shelmalier. As very young kids this place was our jungle gym😀. We scampered around the rocks that seemed massive but now as an adult they are in reality  just tiny outcrops in the forest. The cache site was once the location of a quarry worked apparently by a man called Paddy.

There is parking available at the cache site. The cache is a small Tupperware box. A very small  scramble gets you to the top and the cache is hidden closeby. Just follow the path from the car park to see the very short route up.While you are there think of six wild kids having an absolute ball climbing, playing hide and seek and generally enjoying being free on Forth mountain, our playground . You can just about see over the tree tops now to views of distant Mount Leinster. this area is largely unknown except to locals ..so take a hike and enjoy the ammenity.
