This cache is located in the recently opened Gander Heritage Memorial Park. The Park has a new addition…Sgt Gander and his soldier handler. After retrieving the cache take time to read about Sgt Gander and his exploits. It’s an amazing story. In addition to the War Memorial, which has been at this site for quite a while, the Park also now includes the Airman’s Memorial and the Winged Victory Memorial. Take time to have a look at those as well.
If you study the site closely you may notice that the pathways throughout the Park mimic the runway layout of Gander airport.
The cache is located in a corner of the Park. You may have to stretch to get this one. It’s a nano and you will require your own pen and perhaps a pair of tweezers. Beware of muggles!
