Geocache Description:

The muddy fields and wetlands either side of the canal here are ideal habitat for moorhens. Look out for a large black bird with a distinctive red and yellow beak.

This cache used to be a bison container hanging by the canal towpath and was then a film canister. If you find the lid of the bison or the film canister the floor, please let me know. The cache is now a small Tupperware pot.

Part of a circular wildlife walk of eleven caches across the Burston wetlands and farmland and Trent and Mersey Canal known as the Aston-to-Burston trail. The distance is around 3 miles across relatively flat ground. This is a great walk which is usually quiet and muggle free. It can be very muddy so walking boots or wellies are recommended. Parking can be found at Aston Marina in Stone or in Burston.

Congratulations Russe11 on being the first to find!
