A Tri-State Geocachers tradition continues, now in its sixth year.
Join the Tri-State Geocachers for Tri-State Trick-or-Treat VI, again being held at beautiful High Point State Park! We'll be holding the event on Saturday, October 31 at 10:00am until about 12:30pm, with the option to stay for a pot-luck luncheon afterwards.
High Point boasts some incredible scenery, much of which even the typical tourist probably has never seen. Its many miles of varied hiking trails bring you to fantastic views of lovely lakes, magnificent meadows, and memorable mountain vistas. And of course there are many existing geocaches too! And again this year it brings you the Halloween event that brings out the kid in all of us.
We'll gather at the posted coordinates near the beach at Lake Marcia in High Point, rain or shine. The event will begin at 10:00am sharp - please plan on arriving early, you don't want to miss the start. It's encouraged, whether adult or kid that you come in costume. We'll be shooting individual and small-group pictures and one large-group picture, before providing you with coordinates for several temporary candy caches where you can gather goodies for your TOT bag. After the hike, we'll re-gather and prizes will be awarded for various categories.
Caching with dogs? They're welcome to trick-or-treat right along with you, so long as they're kept on a leash.
Please help us in planning by posting your Will-Attend log as far in advance as possible and telling us the number in your party, so that we can be prepared with treats for the number of trick-or-treaters.
