Spanish Quarter Steps Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Rheneas: It is with regret that I archive this cache -- I am not able to perform regular maintenance on this cache and, since it was originally placed, GZ has deteriorated significantly (it's been overrun with rubbish and smells like a toilet) to the point that it is no longer a pleasant location to find a cache (despite the historical significance).

Geocache Description:

The cache is located near Douglass Lane, a steep narrow cobblestone laneway that rises sharply from Sussex Street, connecting Chinatown to the Spanish Quarter.

Douglass Lane

A remnant of Victorian Sydney, the steep incline is important physical evidence of the city's early land pattern. Careful inspection of the lane will reveal how the cobblestones were laid to accommodate the irregular alignment of the larger streets on either side of the block.

You are looking for a small black container hidden under one of the lower steps. Stealth will be required at certain times of day as the area around GZ can get rather busy. Please return the container to the exact position you found it, ensuring that it is out-of-sight of muggles. Please BYO writing implement.
