Get ready for the SLAGA Fall Picnic. This year it will be at Cuivre River State Park in Lincoln County near Troy, Missouri. Just twenty minutes north of Wentzville. This 1,872 acre park has been called “a bit of the Ozarks outside of the Ozarks” and definitely is a nature lover’s paradise.
We will be meeting at the Lake Shelter Pavilion located at above coordinates. It has plenty of parking, lots of picnic tables, electricity, water and barbecue pits, this shelter is a great place with plenty of room for all of us. It is totally wheelchair accessible, shaded and dog friendly, too!
The park’s 55 acre Lake and Lake Trail are an easy walk from the pavilion.
Please join us as we welcome the new SLAGA Board of Directors who officially take over at this event.
There will be new caches as well as new games.
LAKE SHELTER PAVILION
DIRECTIONS:
At Wentzville, MO, go north of I-70 on Highway 40/61 to Troy, MO. Turn east on Highway 47 and drive a few miles to Highway 147, turn north on 147. 147 takes you into the park. As soon as you pass the Ranger Station, turn north on Lincoln Hills Rd. Stay on Lincoln Hills as it will take you to the Pavilion. When Lincoln Hills Road crosses Camp Cuivre Road, it changes to gravel.

SLAGA will be supplying water, hot dogs, brats, hamburgers and buns along with condiments, plates, napkins, and utensils. We ask that you bring a side dish or other food to share and your drinks. The prices will be as follows:
- SLAGA Premium Member Adults $5.00
- Non-Premium Member Adults $7.00
- Kids 5-12 $3.00
- Kids 4 and under free
Please post your "Will Attend" log as soon as you can with the number of people attending, your preference of meat and how many you'd like. This allows us to order what we need without buying too much. Please list what dish you will be bringing as well.
We will be having a 50-50 drawing (you must be present to win), Geo Bingo, Silent Auction, the Ammo Can Toss, Closest to the Pin contest, and new, Geo poker run, as well as numerous attendance prizes.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
- 9:30 a.m. - Set up.
- 10:30 a.m. - Registration begins.
- 1:00 p.m. - Lunch begins.
- 3:00 p.m. - Silent Auction bidding ends and all games close.
- 3:30 p.m. - General announcements and business, Milestone Awards, Silent Auction and 50-50 winners, all game winners, and Premium Membership drawing.
MILESTONES:
We will be making our Fall Milestone awards to all those SLAGA premium members, so let us know your achievements since the spring picnic. Go to our website, www.slaga.org, and register for your award of 100, 500, 1,000, 5,000, 10,000 or 25,000 finds.
