Spor fra fortiden
Thy er det sted i landet, hvor der er flest gravhøje fra bronzealderen. Og så anslår man endda, at tre fjerdedele er fjernet og overpløjet. Nord for Vester Vandet ligger højgruppen Edshøje, hvorfra der er storslået udsigt over Vandet Sø og Vesterhavet. Men også i plantagerne er der mange bevarede gravhøje

- alene i Vandet og Nystrup Plantager er der over 60. Vandreruterne nr. 3 og 10 passerer mange gravhøje.

Plantagerne gemmer også på hulveje, som fortæller om forrige tiders færdselsårer. I Vilsbøl Plantage ved Årbjerg finder man 3 parallelle veje til Klitmøller. Mellem den brede asfaltvej og den tidligere landevej, som passerer tæt forbi naturlegepladsen, ligger den gamle hulvej, hvis oprindelse fortaber sig i fortidens tåger.

Traces of the past
Thy is the place in the country where the largest number of burial mounds from the Bronze Age. And then estimated to have even that three-quarters are removed and plowed. North of Vester Vandet højgruppen Edshøje, offering magnificent views of the Vandet Sø and the North Sea. But also in the plantations there are many preserved burial mounds
- Alone in the Vandet and Nystrup Plantations are over 60. Walking trails Nos. 3 and 10 passes many burial mounds.
The plantations also sunken roads, which tells of ancient thoroughfares. In Vilsbøl plantation near Årbjerg there are three parallel roads to Klitmøller. Between the wide tarmac and the former road, which passes close to the natural playground, lies the ancient gully, whose origins are lost in the mists.
