Almost all of the caches in this series are 2WD drive accessible. There are a few that are down spur roads that are an easy walk. Remember, there is NO cell service out there, so don't take chances! Many areas of the Osceola can be wet, so please remember to bring boots!

The Florida Box Turtle is not only distinct in its appearance from the other eastern box turtles, but is also basically endemic to Florida!
A small to medium sized turtle, the Florida Box Turtle is one of the well known subspecies of eastern box turtle. In both appearance and color it is unlike its northern cousin the Eastern Box Turtle. It can be quickly identified by the almost black background to its elongated shell with the back of the shell flaring out.
