The GeoTrail Celebration will be held at the Dragonfly Day Camp at Highbanks Metro Park. The Day Camp entrance is located off of W. Powell Road, which is separate from the main entrance to the park. Event will be on September 12th, from 10-11:30 a.m.
This will also be a great chance to meet fellow Metro Parks GeoTrail cachers, swap stories, share adventures and enjoy campfire treats. Plans for a 2016 Metro Parks GeoTrail are already in the works and input will be welcome.
Geocachers seeking a 2015 GeoTrail trackable geocoin must complete the trail and return a completed form to a Metro Parks nature center by August 31st @ 8 p.m. Coins will be awarded in the order forms are received. Sorry no mailed, faxed or emailed forms will be accepted. To start your Metro Parks GeoTrail adventure print a form from the Metro Parks website, www.metroparks.net.
Geocachers who earn a coin, but cannot attend the event, can arrange to pick up their coin on or after September 19th at a Metro Parks Nature Center, or have the coin mailed. Coin Update: As of 8/8 we have 17 trackable geocoins left. To earn a coin you must find and log 15 caches and return the completed form, in person, to a Metro Parks nature center by August 31st @ 8 p.m. Get out there and find those caches!
