My dad would have known exactly what was going on here (you can review the pictures from historical posts) His profession supported my family through the years, and the tower here reminded me to be grateful for the technology that we take so much for granted. He would climb these things in snow storms to fix them, a phone company man from back in the day. I'm placing the cache nearby and making an ode to him.
A rebel at heart I am, I try my darndest to not be like my father. That includes not pursuing the same hobbies or profession. These choices I regret in my older age. But try as I might not to be, I am Daddy's girl. I know the man was proud of me, despite my turning away from him. There are lessons to learn there, in forgiveness, tolerance, and especially love.
My reasons for not being Daddy's girl will remain unspoken. But reasons I am, make themselves known. I'd like to think I gave him that comfort.
