GATE TO PARK IS OPEN daily 7-7, in the spring and summer.
Oakland Bay Historical Park is a hidden gem tucked away just before the Sentry Mini Storage off Agate Road in Shelton, WA. The park is open most of the year from daylight to dusk. NOTE: IN THE WINTER, THE PARK IS ONLY OPEN FRI, SAT, SUN, AND HOLIDAYS. No dogs are allowed in the park. There are bathrooms available in the parking area, as well as near the historical house located in the park. Here, there are picnic tables to enjoy a pack in picnic. The overall hike to the cache container is under 2 miles on paths taking you through the park. Well maintained paths are easily accessible for adults and children alike, but little legs will get tired. The area is heavily forested, so the GPS WILL jump jump jump around, so give yourself a wider search area. Note: You do not need to beat brush to find any Stage. All Stages contain coordinates placed in the same type of container, leading you to the next Stage. The final cache is a small EasyLock container. There is a prize for FTF. You are in the woods, so don't forget your insect repellent!
CONGRATS to PhatBldGuy and Sproutter for the FTF! WOOT WOOT!
