Geocache Description:

A meet and greet for the far traveled visitors to the Cape Town 2016, but of course the local geocachers are also very welcome to meet the guest from overseas!

Visiting the Cape Town 2016 from outside Africa ... me too!

  • You are also visiting the South African Mega Event in Cape Town?
  • Your geocaching base is outside of Africa?
  • You come back to Cape Town for the Mega?
When you can answers at least one of the questions with 'YES', this will be the place for getting in contact with other stupid people having the some illness like you - searching for boxes somewhere at nowhere, just for putting the own name on a sheet of paper.

If all your answers are 'NO' - then this will be the right place for you, too. See all the crazy people travelling hundreds, even thousands of kilometers just to get a statistic point for visiting a mega event.

After visiting the Mother City in March for testing the public transport I decided to come back in September/October to visit my first MEGA outside of Europe.
Maybe there are other box finders from outside of Africa, so we could meet before the event for some talk and getting tips for the boxes in the area from the locals.

I think a good time for the start will be at 14:30 and the log book will be here till 15:30. Let's meet at the V&A Waterfront, near Mitchell's Waterfront Brewery and Ferrymans Tavern between the Amphitheatre and Dock Road. There are enough restaurants around so we could decide for one to have some more discussions later on, or even catch a bus to travel to another event if you depend on the MyCiti like me
