This geocaching experience is a tough but fun one. Be sure to bring and drink plenty of water. Wear sun protection because it's hot and steamy in the mangroves. The length of the hike is about 1.59 km/ 1 mile, starting from the trail head.
The 5 O' Clock Somewhere cache is located at the south end of the West Lake Park South Trail. The trail takes you through protected coastal mangrove wetland. This cache is accessible by land. Mangroves, mudflats, tidal pools, tidal channels, seagrass and maritime hammock communities are found along the trail. The cache you are seeking is camouflaged well to blend in with indigenous plant species. The cache is of regular size. The 5 O' Clock Somewhere cache gets its name because you can see the top levels of Margaritaville Hotel rising above the mangroves. When traveling by land, please bring plenty of water and sun protection when you embark on your journey to 5 O' Clock Somewhere!
