In the difficult times between the world wars the Catholics found safety in the Godmother Mary. In the time of WW2 they prayed to Mary to save the town. If it was, they would build a memorial to Mary overlooking the town. Landstuhl was saved from devastation and they were as good to their word in building the memorial.
This cache is a dediction to the 1/2 century birthday 'boy' and his committment to theatre and the many different types of characters he played. In one particular role he protrayed a very scary wolf. In such we all liked to tease him off stage that in his heart he was still only a kitty.
