The flag pole, at the time of writing, is the 7th tallest in the world and the flag is some 15m x 30m in size. 7x 4.2m high mounted lights around the pole represent the 7 emirates of the UAE.
This is a fairly high muggle area on certain days, especially during the cooler months. Choose your time carefully and please replace carefully to ensure it is well hidden and, most importantly, secure in place.
This cache is part of a series covering each of the large flag poles erected throughout the Emirate of Sharjah. The Emirate of Sharjah is the third largest Emirate in the UAE. Sharjah extends far further than just the city, with various enclaves and even a counter-enclave and is the only Emirate to have a land border with both the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. The Emirate boasts not only a vibrant city but also fertile oasis areas, pleasant beaches, mountainous areas and large wadis.
The series consists of 5 caches (4 traditional, 1 multi) plus one bonus cache - all located within parts of the Sharjah Emirate although you will often have to enter other Emirates on the way. By completing the series, you will have travelled to both coasts as well as through a variety of changing landscapes. The 5 main caches are all located at Flag Poles erected to celebrate National Day:
