Geocache Description:

A walk along the coastal footpath from the Sound to Port Erin. The trail can be followed in either direction, we recommend starting at the Sound as the climb from Port Erin is steep. Unfortunately dogs are banned on this path which is permissive only, not a public right of way. The path is narrow and close to steep drops in a couple of places. Buses run occasionally but check the timetable. Have now discovered the hard way that they don't run winter Sundays!

At the third and last stile you need to negotiate going N, the first going S. Still wide views to the north, the Calf disappears behind as you descend for a while from here. Once over the stile you lose the wall and fence but the path is obvious, don't follow the sheep tracks to the edge. Sheep have no sense and have been known to fall off the cliffs, hence the ban on dogs.

The cache is another easy one; stones behind the bottom step, Port Erin side, should be hiding a non-stone, no gorse this time.
