Dunnings Springs is quite likely the prettiest spring/waterfall in Iowa that is easily accessible. There has been a great EarthCache (GC1CEGC) here since 2008 and at one time a Traditional cache, too (now archived). Unfortunately, some cachers just aren’t into Earthcaches, so we decided to put a physical cache back in here to bring them to this beautiful area. Please stay on established trail/boardwalks to go to the Final. A little finger sized micro. DO Not Leave the walkway.

The caption under the photo of Dunning Springs in the upper left corner of the kiosk says: Dunning's Spring in 19 _ _. Use the missing numbers for the last two digits of the Latitude: N 43 18.7 _ _ .
The last two digits of the year the Mill building and land was purchased by J.O. Vold: 18 _ _ ; THEN SUBTRACT 70 from those last two digits to get the final two digits in the Longitude: W 091 47.4 _ _
