The Goodwood Marsh Nature Trail in Beckwith, Ontario, is a fairly new trail, they are continually working on it.
The main trail has been completed now. The the smaller side trails are hard packed dirt. The south trail that leads to McDiarmid Side Rd. is extremely uneven gravel with overgrowth.
Some areas could be quite wet, this is a marsh after all.
EDIT:As of November 2022, the Chirp Transponder is temporarily inactive. The posted coordinates are for the area of a Chirp transponder and a waypoint tag. EDIT: At least two cachers (including the CO) could not locate the tag. It has been replaced by a camoed bison tube.
EDIT:(As of November 2022, ignore this instruction!) If you have a Chirp capable device, the cache is only one step away.
Alternatively, if you don't have a Chirp capable device, you will need to hunt for waypoint tags.EDIT: no tags...look for bison tubes!)
GPS accuracy is iffy at best in this area. All waypoints were taken with three different waypoint averaging with a 5-10m accuracy.
I've placed this cache out as a tribute thanks to friends and fellow cachers, the OddAngles.
From left to right: Right Angle, Acute Angle and Obtuse Angle
They were so welcoming to me when I visited the CSRA Geocachers in Augusta, GA and the surrounding area.
Be mindful of your surroundings, take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but foot prints.
Practice Cache In Trash Out (CITO) whenever possible.
