There are so many reasons why one should come here. It could be for the views. From here you can see the Klein Karoo, and towards Knysna all along the Outeniquas. And on the George side, towards the sea, you can see all the pastures of the farmers, you can see all the way to the sea and to Mossel Bay. Or it can be on your way to one or both the peaks. On Cradock peak, you will find GC1DW9G Outeniqua Hike - Cradock Peak, and on George peaks, GC1DW9D Outeniqua Hike - George Peak. That should be all the incentive you need to do the rest of the trail! Where ever you are going to though, you are sure to find your sole again in this place.
Walking to this cache is a steep hike, and walking to the cache and back to your car might easily take 6 hours. Take water, appropriate shoes, and warm clothing. The weather can change quickly up there. I have encountered snow at the cache site before. Access is currently still free, but this might change in the near future, as a gate was built at the entrance. Once in operation, it will be operated as any other Sanparks.
