This is a NANO series I hid with my family in honor of Troy Montana. September 2015 marks 100 years since the incorporation of this little town. Each cache is hidden at a location where you will learn more about the history behind Troy. I hope you enjoy the little tour.
Jail: 3/6. The old historical jail is a must visit. In the early 1900's it served as the barrier for the red light district, as it was surrounded by four brothels, and the more distinguished part of Troy. In 1917 a mysterious fire killed the only prisoner incarcerated at the time, Frank Thornton, serving time for creating a disturbance. Lets hope that this is the only visit you have to the local jail during your time here in Troy. Feel free to walk next door the fire department and check out the 9/11 memorial bell dedicated all firefighters.
