By now you should have already noticed two things. Can you spot them? Check the cache placement name? Anything different. A CO can change the name to anything they want. Maybe a clue or the start of the puzzle. Next, see any numbers so far? I'm sure you spotted that big number. CO's love to hide things like this. It might not be this obvious, could be written in letters. Most times you will need to read the cache notes but we all glance over them. Make sure you keep concentrating.

Numbers to Letters
This is used a lot in puzzle caches. Not always something you will plain see but after working out a word you will then need to transfer that word into letters A=1 B=2...

in English, capital letters Are used as the first letter of a sentence, a proper noun, or a proper adjective. they will also be used in a Simple cipher. That's why we need to read everything in the text.
Coloured Letters
Colouring letters is another way of hiding numbers. Quite often they will be red herrings. What did you discover in this section?
Braille
Braille is a tactile writing system used by the blind and the visually impaired. It is traditionally written with embossed paper. When searching for ciphers, use google and write cipher solver after it.

Semaphore flags
Semaphore flags is the system for conveying information at a distance by means of visual signals with hand-held flags, rods, disks, paddles or occasionally bare hands. Information is encoded by the position of the flags; it is read when the flag is in a fixed position. There are other variations of flags. Maritime flags are used often too.

Hidden Clues
Observation in the text can be key. Puzzles will usually give you clues that might make no sense at all. RESEARCH is the key. Use google and search.

Post codes are popular. They usually will be written as the suburb so some research is needed. Keep adding the single numbers until you have only one number left.
