The cache is located in the beautiful Smith Mountain Lake State Park in Huddleston,Virginia and has been placed with approval. The Grave Site Cache has been placed near, but not in, the Saunder's family burial site. To learn more about the Saunders family visit the Park's Visitor Center or do an internet search for the Saunders family of Bedford County, VA.
The cache you are seeking is located in a wooded section of the park near the Saunder's family burial site and just 75 yards from the established Striper Cove Trail. Trail maps are available at the Visitor Center and the kiosk near the boat ramp. The Striper Cove Trail can be accessed from either the picnic area or the boat launch parking lots. To access the area by boat, dock at the short term dock located about 100 yards to the left of the boat ramp. Please rehide cache to prevent vandalism.
